Coten End Primary School
Week beginning 18th December 2023
It has been a fun filled festive couple of weeks in Reception. We’ve enjoyed Storytime with Santa and we all got a present. In drawing club, we read Mince Spies by Mark Sperring and Sophie Corrigan and we had to design our own villain as well as a trap to capture the villain! Some of us have made clay snowmen and all of us have wrapped lots of presents in our Christmas role play. We also went to the theatre to see, "There's a Monster in my Christmas." Back in the the classroom, some of us made our own 'Monster Bags."
In Maths we have been practising making numbers up to 5 in different ways and in phonics we have been recapping tricky words and graphemes we have already learned.
The last of term is today and it’s Toy Day. We got to bring in a toy to share with our friends. We also had a big sing song in the hall of lots of Christmas songs from our assemblies. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
