Coten End Primary School
Week beginning 8th April 2024
This Half Term, our theme in Reception is Habitat Safari, and we began this first week of Summer Term with our Drawing Club Book, "The Tiger Who Came to Tea." Our story focus words were, "slurping, feast and farewell." We drew a tiger and made a list of foods for a special feast for the tiger to eat at the café. We also drew a special 'Tiger Bus' for the tiger to get home after his feast.
In Maths, we were learning about 3D shapes, including spheres, cylinders, cones, cubes and cuboids. We did some 3D shape printing and found out lots about jungle animals as well as tigers. We looked closely at animal patterns and recreated them using paint and oil pastels. We also spent lots of time in the Reception garden in the sunshine.
