Coten End Primary School
Week beginning 19.5.24
What an exciting week Year 4 have had! Most children went off on Monday morning to our residential trip at Blackwell Adventure (see photos in separate album). The children were absolutely amazing throughout and particularly demonstrated our school values of determination and courage in trying many new adventerous activities. All staff that attended were extremely impressed with the behaviour of all children - we are extremely proud of them.
Some children remaining at school also had a brilliant start to the week taking part in some outdoor adventurous activities including den building, camp fires, scavenger hunts and we even had a cookery masterclass from Mrs Vinning who taught us to make a paneer curry and daal.
When the children came back from the residential trip on Wednesday, we have continued to be very busy (despite being rather tired!). We reflected on all the values demonstrated at the start of the week and wrote about all the exciting experiences from Blackwell. We have also finished our DT projects by attaching our cams mechanisms.
We're looking forward to our final half term in Year 4 with our new topic: Celts and Conquerors which is all about the Roman invasion of Britain.
Have a lovely break!
