What another jam-packed week we've had in Year One! The children are still adjusting to life in Key Stage One and are settling in beautifully. This week, in art class, we dived into the vibrant world of the colour wheel! They were fascinated as we experimented with colour mixing, creating stunning secondary colours by blending primary ones. What a treat for the eyes!

In Science, we explored the essentials of a balanced diet, discussing the various types of food we eat. It was delightful to see them connecting healthy choices with their own meals. Over in History, the children took on the challenge of timelines and chronology, demonstrating their understanding by placing events accurately on a timeline.

Finally, during PSHE, we introduced Jigsaw Jack, helping him feel safe in his new classroom. The children shared where they felt safe, such a lovely, supportive discussion! What a week to remember!
