Welcome to the Year 3 blog. It has been a fantastic start to the new school year and we have already squeezed in lots of fun and learning.

The children enjoyed reading the wonderful Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura.  This book links nicely with our learning theme this half-term - Tribal Tales.   In this theme, the children will develop a knowledge of prehistoric times learn how early human culture and land use developed during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.

In Maths, the children have been developing their understanding of Place Value including partitioning 3-digit numbers into 100s, 10s and 1s.  Our Key Skill has been to identify odd and even numbers.

We have also been enjoying our weekly hockey sessions and French sessions with Madame Allison.
