Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 16/9/24
What a fabulous week we’ve had at school! In maths, we’ve been comparative geniuses! The children have been busy matching groups and understanding the concepts of one less, fewer, and more. They’ve also grappling with greater than and less than, making it a wonderfully interactive experience. It’s fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they tackle these key mathematical concepts!
Switching gears to our Drawing Club, we’ve been inspired by the delightful book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! This week, the children created their own magical lands, brimming with wonderful creatures. Their imaginations have truly run wild, leading to some incredible sentences that bring their fantasy worlds to life!
In history, we took a lovely trip down memory lane, comparing our lives as babies with our current selves. The children made fascinating insights as they discussed their clothes, foods, and toys. It’s heartwarming to see how much they’ve grown!
Finally, in art, we explored mark making to create lovely textures. The creativity exploded as each child experimented with different techniques. What a week it has been! We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
