Coten End Primary School
Week Begining 21/10/24
We have made it!! After a very long half-term, I am delighted to share that the children have been nothing short of excellent, demonstrating remarkable hard work and dedication throughout. This week has been bustling with activities, including parents' evening, school photographs, our poignant poppy sale, the thoughtful harvest collection, and our insightful Black History Month project. The enthusiasm and effort exhibited by the children is truly fantastic.
In our lessons, we have been focusing on the vital skill of number bonds within 10 and to 10, which are essential foundations for their mathematical development. In English, we have built upon our understanding of verbs in the past tense. Through the lovely book, Ruby's Worry, the children explored ways they had dealt with one of their own worries, and it was heart-warming to see their creative responses.
As we approach the half-term break, I hope you all have a chance to relax and recharge. We will be excited to welcome everyone back, ready for the exhilarating run-up to Christmas. Thank you for your continued support; it makes a tremendous difference to our wonderful Year 1 community.
