Happy New Year!  It's been an exciting start back to school in Year 3.  Our learning theme this half-term is Viva Espagna.  As well as finding out about Spain, we have been exploring the artwork of Pablo Picasso.  We were inspired by his cubist paintings of faces to create the front covers of our learning theme books.  We have also compared the paintings of Pablo Picasso to the work of Georges Braque, who created pictures using collage.

In Maths, we have been learning how to tell the time to the nearest minute.  We have used lots of visual resources to support our learning.

In English, we have been learning about the present perfect tense and using it in our writing.  Next week, we will be using the present perfect tense to write postcards from Spain.
