This week in MATHS we have been learning about 3-D shapes and
2-D shapes. We were drawing some 3-D shapes such as, cubes, square based pyramids and cuboids. Some of us found this a little tricky but we were very proud of ourselves when we got it!
In MFL we have been learning how to say if we like or dislike vegetables. We loved learning how to say the names of the vegetables. We also learned the values in French. la gentillesse (kindness) is the hardest one for us to remember! This week the new value we discussed in assembly was DETERMINATION.
Say hello to our brand new library! We will be reading books at our book level that has been set by our teacher based on our scores from a book quizz on Accelerated Reader.
In DT, we are still planning our tote bags but we are really looking forward to making them.
In PE we practise hurdles and the three-legged race which was fun but hard!
In Science, we measured our seedlings to see how they were doing and made a record of it. We also learned about the jobs of the different parts of a flowering plant. It was fun dissecting a tulip!
Finally, this afternoon, we had mini ‘Coronation Celebration’ in our class, with party snacks and juice. We learned about the history of the coronation and why it’s an event that’s important to lots of people.
Have a great coronation weekend!
