In the week beginning 22nd May year 5 celebrated their Mayan topic by having a very special Mayan topic day. We were very lucky to be joined by Simon (A real life jungle explorer!!) who taught the children all about life in the jungle. Each year 5 class had a whole day with Simon and loved finding out about all of the animals that live in the jungle. Simon answered questions and the children got to tell Simon all about their class novel 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell. It was a great day.
