This week in Year 4, we were doing area in Maths. We did this by counting squares and compared different rectilinear shapes. On Tuesday and Friday we had Come and Learn. We wrote setting descriptions about the Antarctic and edited our parents' writing! In Science, we did States of Matter and learnt about solids, liquids and gases. On Wednesday we had a visit from Al Sylvester who was a polar explorer. He was amazing! In English, we started Shackleton's Journey and chose a crew member to research, and we will be applying for their job. On Thursday, we did dance with Suzanne. She taught us how to move like different Arctic and Antarctic animals.
