Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful half term and are ready for the festive fun that lies ahead...

It's been a busy first week back in Year 3 and the children have enjoyed starting to read our new class text, The Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman. They have produced some incredible firework reflection artwork using chalk pastels for their topic book covers. In Geography, we have started our unit on mountains and volcanoes by learning to locate the Northern and Southern hemispheres and the Arctic and Antartic Circles. The children have also written some superb firework cinquain poems in English and loved our new PE units: Archery and Football!
