Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 15th January
This week in Curious Quests our challenge was to help our Faithful Friends pass the Lava Lake by using the -ing suffix in our writing. We discussed how -ing changes the meaning of a verb to an action in the present tense. We are pleased to say we succeeded!
In Maths we practise using our number bonds to 20. We were really glad at how well we understood our number bonds to 10 because this really helped us with our learning. It was wonderful to see our parents join us for Come and Learn - we hope this session was useful!
Finally, in Computing we learnt about algorithms and how computers need these precise instructions in order to solve problems. We linked this to the idea of making a jam sandwich - it was really funny when our teachers tried to put a whole jar of jam on the bread!
