Happy New Year! We have hit the ground running in Year 4 and the children have set a high standard for the year ahead. We launched our new Learning Theme with the help of AI. The children created their own mythological creature and, with the help of AI, they were able to animate it and bring it to life! 

We started our new class text (The Demon Dentist). It was so wonderful to see the children so engaged by every single page and enjoying every hilarious word David Walliams had written - hopefully it doesn't put too many of them off actually going to the dentist!

In History, we started off our topic by learning about chronology and where Ancient Greece fits into a timeline along with all the other periods of history that the children have covered at Coten End. 

Finally, we had a visit from Loudmouth Education, who came in to deliver a workshop on staying safe in on and offline relationships, including work on child abuse & exploitation and domestic abuse. There was a 1-hour drama performance and character Q&A, followed by a 20 minute class at a time workshop.
