This week Year 3 have been enjoying experimenting with tints and shades in our art lessons. We have continued to explore the work of artists like Braque and Picasso, who were part of the Cubism movement. This week in particular, we were inspired by the paintings of musical instruments by Braque. You can see from our sketchbooks that we began by sketching outlines of instruments in an abstract arrangement and then experimented with watercolour paints to create lighter and darker hues to complete each painting.
