Coten End Primary School

Week beginning 20th May 2024

The highlight of this week for the Reception children was most definitely our trip to 'All Things Wild.' on Tuesday. We had an ‘animal encounter’ where we were able to hold a corn snake, stroke a rabbit (who hadn’t been named yet!), stroke an armadillo and hold a hissing cockroach. All the children were so brave and all had a go at touching or holding the animals. Next, we went on the Dino Train and saw lots of different dinosaurs on our journey… we had to keep our arms and legs inside the carriages just in case the dinosaurs bit us! We then saw a range of other animals such as capybara, camel, zebra, goats, donkeys and an owl. All staff were so proud of the children’s behaviour.
