This term we have started our new learning theme called 'Get Set Grow'. In Curious Quests we looked at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and practised using capital letters for the names of people and places in our writing. This week's Maths focussed on position and direction and we learnt the meaning of lots of important vocabulary such as left, right, forwards, backwards, quarter turn and half turn. In music we are learning a song about growing and have enjoyed practising it together and making up actions to go with it. On Thursday it was 80th anniversary of D-Day and we spent some time learning about its importance and why we still remember it today.
