Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 10.6.24
As we continue our learning about the Ancient Egyptians, this week, we have been focusing on the importance of the River Nile to the people of Egypt. We have spoken about its use in farming, transport and trade. The children were able to discuss and explain in detail how and why the river was used as part of the Ancient Egyptians' daily life. We have also set up some models of the river and its ability to make the land around it more fertile in flooding seasons. We will be exploring this over the coming weeks as our rivers flood the plains every so often and hopefully lead to some growing vegetation around the river!
