Today, the Key Stage 2 children (Year 4 to Year 6) were visited by award-winning children's author P.G. Bell; author of The Beanstalk Murder and The Great Brain Robbery.
P.G. talked to us about his newest release, "The Beanstalk Murders". Set years after the well-known fairytale, a giant falls from the sky and lands in the village of 'Old Stump'. Anwin, a twelve year-old apprentice witch, soon come to realise that the giant had already died before they had hit the ground. With this discovery, Awin sets out to solve the murder with the help of her irritating sister (Cerys) and the last magic bean for miles around.
Graciously, P.G. read Chapter 3 to the children in which Awin, having accidentally attached herself to the growing beanstalk, finds herself in the land of the giants. What happens next? You will have to read to find out for yourselves!
