Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 23/9/24
This week has been an exciting one for our Year 1 class! In Drawing Club, we explored the delightful book Super Duper You by Sophy Henn. The children were inspired to express their creativity by drawing and writing about activities they enjoy, while also practising the important rule of using a capital letter for the word 'I'.
In Mathematics, we delved into concepts of greater than and less than, engaging in fun activities that allowed the children to compare numbers confidently. In our History lessons, we shared cherished stories from our first day in Reception, fostering a sense of nostalgia and community.
Our Physical Education sessions have been focused on improving motor skills, where the children have been working on their coordination through various movement activities. It has been wonderful to see their progress this week, and I am excited to continue this journey together!
