Week Ending 4th October 2024

We had another very busy week this week. This week's focus book was 'The Colour Monster' and we enjoyed inventing our own monsters. We talked about different emotions and feelings, like calm, frustrated and how this might feel.  In Phonics this week, we learned the sounds, 'p,i,n,m,d' ready to take home our first reading books to practise at home. 

In Maths, we compared the size of objects and the mass of objects using mathematical vocabulary such as heavier than, lighter than and balanced.   Outside, we had a lot of rain, so played a lot with drainpipes and water. On Friday, we started the 'Taking Care Project' and talked about what helps us feel happy as well as who we feel safe with.
