The snowy weather hasn't slowed us down this week! In English, we have been learning about the suffix 'ed' and the effect it has on root verbs. In Maths, we have been using dienes to create numbers practically and looked at what each digit represents in a number. We are looking forward to share our maths learning with our families next week in our Come and Learn sessions.

In Computing, we have been investigating beebots and simple algorithms. We were given a variety of challenges to complete in small groups and we had to work out how to program our beebots to move.

We really enjoyed our Music lesson this week. We learnt about layering music to create a song. We loved using the app 'Loopimal' and created some fantastic pieces of music - we also enjoyed watching the funny characters!

Our teachers enjoyed meeting with parents to share our learning and work them and are really proud of what we have achieved so far in Year 1.
