In Year 3 this week, we have been diving straight into our new learning theme, 'The Firework-Maker's Daughter', based on the book by Philip Pullman.  The children created their front cover pictures by using chalk pastels on black paper to create fireworks reflecting in water.  They also made their predictions about the story based on the front cover of the book and the blurb.  During the week, they gathered exciting vocabulary to write a description of a firework display.
