Coten End Primary School
Week Begining 11/11/24
What a fantastic week we have had in Year 1! The children have thoroughly enjoyed our newly introduced gymnastics topic, with all the apparatus laid out for them to explore. It was delightful to witness their excitement and enthusiasm as they navigated the different equipment, developing their physical skills while having an absolute blast.
In addition to our gymnastics adventures, we celebrated Inter-Faith Week with a special guest speaker who shared insights about Islam. The children were captivated as they learnt about the diverse beliefs and traditions that shape our world.
In Mathematics, we delved into the concept of subtraction using a variety of methods. Engaging with hands-on activities allowed the children to grasp this fundamental skill in a fun and interactive way, enhancing their confidence in tackling mathematical problems.
Our English lesson was particularly exciting, as the children were set a challenge by Professor Klunk. They read "The Way Home for Wolf" and were tasked with describing different animals on Wilf's travels with an array of adjectives.
