This week, Year 4 were visited by Al Sylvester who spoke to us about his expedition to the South Pole. His tales were full of danger, drama and determination and we all enjoyed hearing all he had to say. Al also brought in some of his equipment to show us and even dressed a member of 4VW in his very heavy polar clothing! The children asked some very insightful questions and Al was very impressed with their knowledge and enthusiasm. 
 

Earlier this week, the children also attended the Christmas Fair. There was lots of fun to be had with the various games on offer and chances to win prizes. The children were also able to decorate their own mugs, which have now been brought home to bake, ready to be used over the Christmas/festive season.
