This week our focus Drawing Club Book was 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers.  The children created lots of space-themed art using oil pastels and different coloured paper as well as shapes to draw round.  Our school value focus this week was Curiosity - at lunchtime, the children from all different year groups investigated games that can be played without equipment. The children also practised counting along a number track and subitising up to 6 using a die. Jungle animals were the theme for our gymnastics on Friday and the children practised moving in different ways and jumping off equipment safely, as well as 'mirroring' a partner. In phonics, we learned some more digraphs, 'zz, qu and ch,' as well as the tricky word, 'my'.
