This week has been one full of creativity and science in year 5. 

On Wednesday, we were all treated to a spectacular display of the night sky from the Wonderdome and our speaker - Chris. He wowed everyone with images of the planets, stars and moon while presenting a never-ending list of facts about what we were looking at. This was a truly spectacular experience and the sense of wonder and curiosity from the children was palpable. 

We also evaluated our DT constructions and enlisted the help of Year 5's reception buddies to help us. Using the varied terrain of the reception garden, the children were able to fully test out their designs and identify successes as well as developments that could have been made to their designs. Having the second opinion of the reception children was invaluable and the joy on their faces when the models worked was a delight to see. 

Also this week, Year 5 have been putting together their retro-futuristic artwork. Using a range of different media, the children composed some spectacular pieces rounding off yet another successful week in Year 5.
