Ahoy there shipmates!
Year 1 have rounded the week off with a visit from ‘Captain Raggybeard’ as part of our pirate theme day. The children were transfixed as he shared with them pirate tales of treasure and adventures to Caribbean islands. Raggybeard was super impressed with their pirate knowledge and gave them each a precious mermaid’s tear at the end of the day! The children also made cork pirate boats, designed their own pirate hats and finished the afternoon off singing sea shanty’s. We all really enjoyed our pirate day and are ready for a good rest over the weekend.
