Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 10th March
This week has been Science Week and we have spent lots of time experimenting and observing!
We started the week with a Fizz, Pop, Bang assembly during which we made rainbow bubbles which we could touch.
For Science week, we have taken part in a whole school investigation. Our big question was 'Are all black inks the same?' We put dots of each various black inks on filter paper, poured in water and waited to see how the inks changed; we discovered that they were all different.
Wednesday afternoon was the Science Fair and we got to present our Science projects to our friends and parents. We really enjoyed sharing our learning with everyone!
On Friday afternoon, our Chair of Governors, Dr Webber came in to talk to us about her work. She taught us how to save a life and administer CPR, how your breathing changes when you exercise and we all got try using a stethoscope.
During our Come and Learn sessions this week, we worked through a reading comprehension and talked about the different skills necessary to answer it. We enjoyed sharing our learning with our grown ups.
