Coten End Primary School
Friday 12th May 2023
This week in Maths we have been learning to add and subtract fractions as well as solve problems to do with fractions.
Some of us have already finished our first library books and have begun to take the book quizzes.
In Science, our plant investigation is having variable results – sadly some of our plants have died. The ones with most light seem to be doing the best.
In Art we have been mixing lots of analogous colours using just two primary colours.
In English, we have mostly finished writing our folk tales about bees, snails and elephants and how they got their stripes/ shells and trunks.
In PE we practised sprinting and three-legged races.
In Science, we measured our seedlings to see how they were doing and made a record of it. We also learned about the jobs of the different parts of a flowering plant. It was fun dissecting a tulip!
Finally, this afternoon, in PSHE, we discussed top tips for resolving friendship problems and learned how to stay safe online.
Have a great coronation weekend!
