Coten End Primary School
Thursday 15th June 2023
This week we had a terrific time! Here is what we got up to:
On Thursday and Wednesday, we went to Junior Apprentice ( a fundraiser event where year sixes make stalls and sell items. All the money they make goes towards their leavers party!) There were some very exciting items!
In maths, We have been learning the 4 operations. We enjoyed practising them and we made progress! Lots and lots of progress!
In Computing, we have been making our own data bases and learning tricky computing vocabulary such as field, data and record. We had so much fun!
Next month is our Coten End’s got talent!! The audition is 10 – 14 July, then later is the Semi-final, and finally is the Final where one lucky person will win the whole thing!
In PSHE, we have a new topic called Changing Me. We had to write down the needs of a baby and talk about how we might feel if we had a new baby in the family.
In Guided Reading, we have a new class reading book called Marcy and the Riddle of The Sphinx. It was a joy to read.
In English, we have been studying about diary entries. We loved learning about the different parts of a diary!
In history, we made timelines and drew beautiful, colourful pictures for them.
Buna! Our language of the half term is Romanian and we are enjoying it so much! Don’t forget to practice the Romanian greetings, Buna and Salut!
By Lola, Jess A , Joun and Laura on behalf of Year 3. Have a lovely weekend
